Range of Edge of Extinction
So how wide-spread is the effect of Edge of Extinction on a map?
I have read accounts that EoE affects everything on the map...and other says it has a limited range. And what constitute a creature type? I understand what a "Charr" is...but what about undeads? Does EoE affect all *undead*? or does it only affect sub-types like skeletons, zombies, damned cleric etc (i think damned cleric is actually a human and not really undead...but I've never gone up close to take a look ) Same thing with animals. If I killed a lynx, would it affect a Moa Bird? |

I'm not sure of the range, because when I did have it I only used it sparingly before deciding it wasn't worth it(IMO). As for what if effects, it effects which ever sub-class as you call them, or to put it simply, if you have EoE on a Charr Axe Fiend, it works on all other Charr Axe Fiends around but not on say a Charr Axe Warrior.

I think it is actually very useful to have available, you just have to be very selective about when you use it and certainly not often or at least not until the penalty is gone or as an act of desperation.
There are a few times where I think it may have meant the difference between a total wipeout and survival. As far as the area, it is not the whole map as far as I can tell, but more like the area within the 'visible' range of your mini-map and it effects all the subtypes too. |
