Post BWE Questions
How important is armor? Do you need to update it every time you can?
How good are the Melandru's Stalkers compared to the other pets? At what level do you go out of Ascalon and into places like Kryta and The Shiverpeaks? What is the exact way to get a support proffession, I've been having some trouble with that. Is a Longbow satifactory for the first five levels? |

Updating your Armor frequently is only important if you're a melee character, or if you're really having trouble getting through an area. For most casters, upgrading at levels 5, 10, 15, and 20 is the ideal in cost to benefit ratio.
As for the Shiverpeaks .. most likely people will be in the level range of 8 - 10. Taking on a secondary profession only requires you to talk to that profession's trainer, and complete their quest. After you do so, tell them that you'll take that as your secondary. As an example, if you were an Elementalist and finished up with your primary profession quests, you could then go see Priest Mhenlo at Ashford Abbey, undertake his quest, and get a Monk secondary. Longbows are alright, but in my opinion, Flatbows are better. Regardless of that, you're probably better served using a close range melee weapon for the first few levels (unless you're a Ranger primary.) |

Especially with the gold rate multiplied by about a factor of 10 this bwe.. you should start to rack up a nice bit of gold as you move through the missions. It should definitely be enough to upgrade armor. As far as the stalker goes, I think someone last BWE posted his findings on pet attack/defense rates. It's in this forum O.o.. I don't have time to find it right now But I remember that they were more or less the same. People did say months ago that the warthogs had the best defense/most hp. Pets, however, as of right now, don't contribute much to pvp.. They can be a boon, or a curse in PvE (being a good tank vs. an annoying habit of luring armies to you).. and so my advice for now would be to just pick the pet that you like the most based on looks/type of creature, rather than stats.
