You can gain access to the last beta event coming up on April 15th by going to any major retailer and purchasing the Guild Wars preorder package ($10 USD).
The game releases on April 28th with preorderers starting a day earlier. -- Scaper-X |

Well the price to preorder varies from place to place. Over here in the Northwest its only 5 dollars to preorder a game and if you don't want it they give you the refund. If when it comes out you just purchase it with the 5 dollars included for purchasing

Same here in the Northeast. I did just that with EBGames. Best $5 I have spent in a very long time. |

Yup, $5 here too. Just go to any retailer and pick up the Pre-Order box. You'll receive (in a white envelope) a key for you and another for a friend, both of which will be valid for the upcoming BWE on April 15th.
When the game is released, you'll go to the retailer, and purchase the game, minus what you had already paid for the Pre-Order. And let's not forget we get to play the full game beginning Apr 27th. |

$10 here in the Midwest, but that also could have just been Best Buy's price.

It doesn't matter, it takes the money you payed off from what the price of the game when its released. its paying part of the game in advance before it comes out. I payed 10$ in advance so I don't have to later when I might not have the money. its liek lay-a-way.

That's true, but when I said that, I was thinking of a very kind individual in GWO who used to run out and buy tons of copies for people in Europe (before European preorders were available). They paypal'ed him the price, but it was still his gas money and time. Unfortunately, not all preorders result in actual orders.. especially if they're given to people far away, who might buy the final copy, but have no way to redeem the preorder cost.
