but it does matter. clarity is important.
anyhoo, if you create a PvP only character, that character can only travel to PvP areas and your guild hall. if you create a PvE character, he could potentially travel anywhere on the map, including towns, outposts, PvP areas, and the guild hall.

Here is, perhaps a novel idea: why not let the moderators worry about whether posts are appropriate, inappropriate, conform to the guidelines, don't conform to the guidelines,, and anything else while you post merrily away? If there's an issue you can bring it to our attention - privately - or you can ignore it. While we appreciate the efforts to police the boards yourself and to make sure that we have a healthy and functioning society we also don't want a wave of forum vigilantism because, as you might have noticed people can take it very much the wrong way.
That said, Quote:
You get to preview, get to edit, a post before it's submitted, so there's really no excuse not to have passible spelling and grammar. Mistakes and errors happen, of course, and we don't expect people to post with a dictionary and thesaurus handy - the occassional error or typo doesn't matter - but we expect you to make legible posts which others can have a fair chance at understanding.

I don't want to make it like we're the grammar police around here. If what you say is important enough for other people to read it's important enough to spend the time to get right. We fully understand that GW is an international game and people around here aren't necessarily have English as their first language. As long as you can make it legible it's probably going to be okay. We just want the effort made rather than people not giving a damn when they post, that's all. It's alright to make an honest mistake or have an imperfect grasp of english but there's no excuse for being sloppy.
The point being that we have standards here and those standards are in place so we can all converse with one another. There needs to be a bare minimum in place for everyone to be able to understand each post. And it's every poster's responsibility to hold to those standards. If a post's a problem, believe me, we'll hear about it and we'll remove or alter it as the circumstances warrant. If a post is still around then odds are it's alright. As I said, we don't require everyone to have their Masters in English to post here. Just to be able to get their point across.

My opinion is the original poster knew that there post was written in bad form due to the statement saying sorry for the punctuation. We do require that you take a few moments and word your posts so that they are easily readable. You don't have to be a literary protoge' to post here, but we do require some time to be put into posts.
