Not sure I understand what you are asking here. If you are talking about the pre-order game kit. It can vary from where you buy it from. I think some online stores offered a few extras along with the pre-order game kit. The first pre-order kit I bought from best buy included a CD-(although I'd already downloaded the client)- A small poster, (which I currently have up on my wall)- A Prima Tournament Survival Guide (which I tossed aside since I hate to RTFM)- A small evelope which contained the CD key I needed to get into the Beta Weekend Events, and A friends Pass Key (which only works for one BWE) that I gave to my little brother but he's too computer stupid to figure it out on his own so I left him in the dust.
The pre-order kit will allow us to play on the 15 thru the 17 of this month. Which is what is called the BWE or Beta Weekend Event; And hopefully on the 27th. I am not quite clear about 27th. (a day before the game's official release. Hope that clears it up for you. If you are talking about something else. Please clarify. |

Hmmm..
By the time you go out and start adventuring in what I like to call 'the real part of the game' which is- after you have joined the academy. Pretty much any item you come across is going to be better than what you started with. The last 2 BWE's I was in. Items dropped like wildfire and I never had a problem with someone handing over a weapon or item that was meant for my class. This does not mean you will have the same luck. But what I am saying is that by the time you get out of 'training' you will come across items that are better than whatever you have been given as a starting item for the pre-order kit. Cheers! No one really knows yet, my guess is that they will be very good for your newby time but once you move on a little further, it'll be worthless (well... not completely... they look cool). they couldn't make it a great weapon for 2 reasons: 1) it would be unfair to people that didn't or couldn't preorder and would imbalance the game. 2) it would be giving a level 1 character a great weapon. That simply does not work.

My take on the pre-order items is this:
Each item is linked to an attribute. Therefore each item wil grow in power (both damage, stat, and effects) each time your linked attribute also increases. This solves many problems, such as too uber an item to start with, or each item becoming obsolete past the first handful of levels. Divine Aura item works alittle different. It sits in your inventory (no slot just in your bag) and generates a persistant effect based on your primary class and over all level) This again solves the problem of out growing the item and allows Anet to scale the item's effect to your current level. Just speculation at this point though. Kraav |
