Hail Stranger, and Well Met!

After much consideration, and solemn soul searching, the concept for a guild was born. Designed to be an open society of gamers who enjoy all aspects of Guild Wars, this guild's purpose is to allow people of various backgrounds and preferences to meet each other and develop a kinship of sorts through the game.

Heroes, vagabonds, wanderers, gladiators, witches, wizards, warriors... all are welcome to join. We call ourselves Heroes Etc... and we are looking to expand our membership roles through the upcoming beta.

If you are interested in becoming part of a guild of folks who appreciate the benefits that community and fellowship can bring to a game, come check us out.

A few points of interest:

- We do not discriminate against any type of gamer. Casual, hardcore, whatever lay in between, you are welcome. PvP, PvE, Roleplay? C'mon in! We have a place for you.

- We do not believe that a gaming experience should be guided by harsh guidelines or strict rules. We ask for common sense, respect and courtesy.

- An organizational structure is in place to help organize the guild's activities, but it is not a military hierarchy of rulers vs subordinates. The guild officers' purpose is to help with organization of guild activities, and help make our member's experience with the game and the guild a great one.

- PvP organization will be handled by an officer (or officers as we grow larger) whose purpose will be organizing groups to participate. Practices will be at the participant's discretion. Mandatory practices will not be an issue.

- A teamspeak server is set up for our use to enable communication in the fog of war.

I am very interested in joining, however I have registered with your forums and I'm now waiting for the confirmation of my registration so I can submit my entry form.

How long should I expect till my registration is complete?

Ahh... It seems things are not quite as clear as they should be on our site. Well, thanks for pointing this out. It's been corrected.

As far as how things work... Just hop on back to the forums and post as a guest in the 'Interested in becoming a Hero' forum. There is a brief Q&A there for folks to fill out. Once we have read your anwers, and decided we're on the same wavelength (if so, perhaps you can share a number for a good therapist?), we activate your account to the boards.

From there, we get to know you a bit better on the boards, and make a final membership determination once we have had the opportunity to game with you in the next BWE.

It has become necessary to move our operations to a new site. We are now located at Heroes Etc..

We are actively beginning an new stage of aggressive recruitment, so if you find that you share the goals and ideals put forth in the Heroes Etc... philosophy, drop us a line!
