will my character name be reserved if im using a friends pass?

Friend Pass accounts are not saved in the wipe I believe; only people who have actually preordered the game will be able to save their character names once the game is actually released.

i read that any beta account would be kept at least a few weeks to give that person a chance to buy it

freinds pass is reserved, i have used my dad's friend's pass and i my char was still there when i played the game with another code in the next event and still had my char name reserved.

Friend's Passes are good from Beta to Beta (I started characters on a Friend in Feb and they were AOk in the March Beta) but I would imagine the friend's passes would get wiped for retail if you don't permenant-ize them.

Yes, you're right in saying that Friends Pass are saved between Beta Events. But for the release of the retail game, Friends Passes are wiped; only Preorder Passes will remain.
