Newbie question about inviting - Guild Wars Forums

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I looked and couldn't find it.

Is there anyway to invite people other then clicking them then clicking join or whatever? I ask because I would much like to party with my friend, but when we attempt to enter the same district, we can't find eachother, or for some reason don't appear to eachother. Note this is in pre-searing, so I don't know if it changes or something.

EDIT: Nevermind, ignore this. He hadn't updated the GW build yet, no duh *smacks face*
