Can't meet up with friend - Guild Wars Forums

I gave my friend my friend's pass, and after doing a bit of leveling and questing on our own, we decided to team up for the story quest that would move us into post-searing Ascalon. However, we spent about 20 minutes trying to meet each other with no success. We tried connecting to the same district of Ascalon and meeting next to Tydus several times, but it didn't work. We also tried going to the international districts, and even switching the territory from America to Europe; nothing worked. I've noticed, however, that my list of Ascalon districts goes up to 28, and his only goes up to 9.

Is there something I'm missing about this? The only things I can think of that could be prohibiting us from finding each other are the current conditions of our miscellaneous quests, his having the friend's pass from my preorder, or maybe some kind of difference in our game clients (as the district list disparity might imply). All of that seems a little far-fetched, yet I can't seem to find any answers, be it on the various fansites or in the official FAQ and support threads.

i got the same problem..
i think there are a few (or just2) different districts1
(2 european districts1,2,3,..)
i think this is going to be fixed (i hope)

no.. it HAS to be fixed ^^

well i could meet my friend in the guild hall and on pvp system but not in pve ~~

We were whispering each other back and forth the whole time we were trying to meet up.

If those other people can report succes, then I will report failure.
- I have only 2 Euro-district while friends had 3
- I have only 1 International-district while friend had 3 (or more)

And to make it really funny: we all (at least 3 of us) chose same world: europe.
