Arcane Thievery
okidoki,
Arcane Thievery - For 5-29 seconds, one random spell is disabled for target foe, and Arcane Thievery is replaced by that spell. My question is as follows: Let's say I'm a pure Mesmer and I cast "Arcane Thievery" and I am the lucky recipient of "Heal Area" which is a monk spell (max heal of 150 health with 12 points in Healing prayers). Now since I'm a pure Mesmer and I have no attribute points in "Healing Prayers". What???s the maximum health this spell will deliver to me? A) The maximum of the monk I stole it off of (His attribute points in Healing Prayers)? or B) The maximum of points in my "Domination" line (since Arcane Thievery is a domination spell)? Thanks for your help... |

C) The maximum of *your* points in Healing.
In other words, almost nothing unless you're a Mes/Mon or Mon/Mes with points in Healing. Same for Inspired Hex, Inspired Enchantment, Arcane Mimicry, Arcane Echo, Echo and any other skill that "steals" a skill. It's not based on the target or the attribute of the stealing skill but on your attributes. While that skill is on your bar it acts, in all respects, as if you'd put it there yourself in the lobby.
