Discovering guild names - Guild Wars Forums

Ok so when you see a character and their guild tag, is there a way to tell what that guild tag actually mean (the actual guild name?) without asking a member. Whispering in this game isn't exactly the easiest unless they have said something first.

Indeed, I would like an option, to click the tag as a seperate option, to open a window.

I would also like to see that feature. For now though, just go to the Guild Ladder and memorize the good guilds.

(hint: TBF = Taken By Force)

This would be a cool feature. I'd be nice to find out a guild's real name without having to go to the guild ladder.

and that would be cool, when i go to make a team first thing i do is look at tabs to see if theyre in a good guild then i try and grab em

The guild ladder is only on the website, not in game, right? Also, not all guilds are listed there.

I don't understand why they don't display the whole guild name under the character name like in other MMORPGs (a few extra characters of text don't suck much bandwidth).

Like another posts said they already dont have weapons and shield in towns so that it reduces bandwith couple more text can't hurt!
