27th, 28th, and beta keys.. - Guild Wars Forums

1) If one has a beta key, one is allowed to play on the 27th and the 28th.

2) On the 29th, the game will request a key from a standard edition or collector's edition.

Assuming this is all correct..

.. can we use the beta event friend's pass to let a friend play on the 27th and 28th too? Or does it ONLY work for beta events?

Really trying to sell two of my friends on this, so I went out and bought them a package from best buy and am hoping to be able to give one the beta key and the other the beta event key.

According to the information I know, the friend pass WILL NOT work on the 27th.

Getting in on the 27th is a reward for pre-ordering. Since a friend pass is not a pre-order key. It will not work.

Did you happen to show them the .avi movie of the monk playing in pve? Do a search for it, I do not have the link off hand but I will edit this post when I find it. It is a really well done movie created by a fan of the game. If that doesn't make your friends eager to play, I dont know what will ..

Also Target Greatland and Micro Center are selling the pre-orders for 99 cents. You could just do that for a friend too.

Anyone have any good links to some pvp videos.... done by fans? I saw one that was posted here.. with the Lacuna Coil soundtrack .. it was good but... I'm looking for more action.
