Character Planner
Has anyone created a character planner like the one for DII? It always helped already knowing where to spend the points when you leveled.

There're plenty out there.
"The Edge" is a popular one, I believe. Unlike Diablo II, however, you can 'refund' any poorly chosen attribute distributions using refund points, which you get easily. That combined with certain skills not being accessible at certain parts of the game, it may be for the best if you just try to work it as you go, and tweak it later on. |

There's one at guild wars underground, though it's out of date and missing some skills. It's accurate enough that I've been using it a bunch.

Ive had The Edge, GW Team Builder and GW Attribute Calculator, and of them all, I always use Attrib Calc. It's far more convenient and well-made, in my opinion. I had to download the .NET Framework for it though.
Just run a search for it on google and i'm sure you'll find a download location. |

I tried the attribute calculator and that seems to be the method of choice. Seemed to be up to date.
