ok. i was looking up things about what you get if you buy guild wars. i saw that you get a bonus disk and it comes with a whole bunch of stuff including a "Guild Wars "Preferred Friend" serial code " can someone tell me what that is?

It was the Friend's Pass which gave one of your friends access to a single Beta Event to try it out. But the pass won't matter anymore, since all of the Beta Events are over...

The friends serial alowed a friend to play 1 Beta Weekend, But Beta Weekends are over, so it is no good.

That's more commonly known as a Beta Event Friend's Pass. That's a one-use pass you give to someone so they can experience Guild Wars for one beta event only (which are now all over).
Your other pass nets you access to all beta events plus access on the 27th and 28th.
