Deleting Guilds - Guild Wars Forums

well i thought that the Guilds were going to be deleted so at the end of the last beta i had some extra cash and made a guild to see what a cape looked like. now it says they are not being deleted so i want to know how to disban, destroy, or w/e the Guild i recently made because when Guild Wars is realeased i am making the actual Guild that i will be playing with. how do i do this?

Hit "G" to go to the guild menu, click the little box next to your name and "Disband Guild".

wait another question i have, can you rename the same guild or do you have to delete the old and make a new?

i have the same problem. i made up a quick guild just because i thought they said it was gonna be wiped.
now, from what ive read so far.
.guild names are going to be kept.
.guild capes and halls have to be acquired again. ( so u have to design it again).
.capes at previous bwes was 1000gold. but last bwe it was 100gold only. ( i hope it stays 100gold)
.in order to disband/destroy a guild u would need to delete/recreate all associated characs in your account and kick out others who were in it. if you dont remake all characs or 1st kick ppl out, the guild name/the leadership will keep passing on to the next associated character after each charac has been deleted (and can also be transfered automatically to another members account characs if they are still connected to the guild after you delete yours.) (thats what ive read..so far)

.in conclusion, easiest method in destroying an unwanted guild is to have
all your characs recreated and have your other members recreate theres too.
( unless they updated it. i do hope you can just click an option on the guild menu screen, and not just disbanding it but make guild name disappear permanently. as thyshadowwolf stated)
