Wondering if we can use the client we have from the Beta events? Or is it a better idea to get a clean install from the retail CDs?

Is there any extra content on the CDs?

There is plenty of extra content on the CDs - art assets from all of the other regions of the world that weren't available during the BWEs, and things of this nature. I'm not sure if you can install over the data you already have or not, but a clean installation is probably a good idea to spare yourself some download time.

my own experience

since it said nothing about uninstalling before the install i did mine over the existing data.

it installed cleanly as far as i can tell, took me to the login screen where i added the retail key while a download of about 25+mb went on

checking later my account and reservedcharacters appear to be still in good order
