Althea's Ashes? O.o - Guild Wars Forums

Hmmmmm...well I searched everywhere in Regent Valley Basin... I checked every nook n cranny and killed every monster in the bloody place while i was at it... Can anyone point me in the right direction for this quest? heh...

It is the altar immediately to the <?West?> of where her Ghost was.

Surrounded by an army of Charr.

You can get there quickly by going to Nolani Academy and entering the explorable area. You will want to cross the bridge. You should be able to find where her ghost was from your map.

If you hold <CTRL> and <ALT> the altar shows up in gold if you are within range.

If you have not made it to Nolani Academy, simply retrace your path to the ghost and it should be to the left.

Did they even fix this quest yet? It was incredibly bugged in beta.

I completed this in the April Beta. What made it hard for me is that there was no green arrow pointing where to go.

Also, I cleared the Charr around the altar twice. Naturally, after finding out what the Charr did ("Bad Charr!"), my team sought recompense. Because I had not reported back regarding Althea and did not have the Ashes quest, when I clicked on the altar, nothing happened.

After reporting back at Piken Square and receiving the Ashes quest, when the Charr were cleared, I clicked on the altar and it worked.

Then I helped another person complete the quest and the Charr were cleared again.

2000xp for the first quest, 2000xp for the Fires quest, 3000xp for the Ashes quest (not sure if they changed these values for retail). Makes for some nice questing in Piken Square!
