newbie question
Is their class inbalance in pvp ?
I not sure about this game at all i havent played or followed but would mages /casters character be substantially weaker if they are only allowed certain amount of spells ? I suppose they need a spell to buff/enhance stats , protection, healing and offensive can u cast and recast spells instantly ? and how bout defensively can they wear armor ? is there sufficient armor in the game that provides the same protections as melee ? how bout mana to cast spells Im new how does spell casting work ? Are the class items balanced ? and can caster attack with weapons ? |

I can't see one. Perhaps a flux of Warriors, but it's to be expected. You get to choose a second profession too (you just dont keep the primary skill for the second type) so it's pretty varied. Theres always a decent challenge. I not sure about this game at all i havent played or followed but would mages /casters character be substantially weaker if they are only allowed certain amount of spells ? Thats' life. Take good spells. You can use Auras to take effects on you etc. You can change your spells before you go do what you do. So as long as you know what your'e up against you can equip the right spells- piece o' cake I suppose they need a spell to buff/enhance stats , protection, healing and offensive can u cast and recast spells instantly ? Each has it's own specific re-charge time, rangin from instant to god knows what. A while. The huge devestating attacks arent instant...that would be unfair : p But for example, the first attack of a Elementalist, say fire. Is a fireball, and it takes a second to reload, but about 2 seconds to animate. So...one every 3 seonds roughly. and how bout defensively can they wear armor ? is there sufficient armor in the game that provides the same protections as melee ? There is armor. You can pick up basic freebies from Outfitters. NPCs who also are useful for selling stuff to. Like a free shield and such. You come equipped with armor. It can be crafted..I'm pretty sure it can anyway. You can also use items with high armour values on them. Armour doesnt play a crucial role at the beginning though. Just like team quests. how bout mana to cast spells Well....I don't really know what you mean. There IS mana if thats' what you mean. It allows you to cast your spells. If your base level goes up, so does that. Items can also highten the value of it.You gain skills by doing various quests, using skill points on cetrain npc, usin the signet of capture on bosses. Im new how does spell casting work ? Well, you equip your skills (only in a town or outpost, not mid-mission) and they are numbered 1-8 on your keyboard, they also appear in 8 liitle boxes under your health and magic at the bottom of the screen. You first click on an enemy, then press 1-8 on your keyboard, or click on the box on screen, has the same effect. The spell will then cast. Casting times are different but become shorter with higher levels. Once it's charged it does whatever it does and then its a matter of XXXXseconds until you can use it again. It (the picture in the boxes) will become bright again when it is ready. You can also have signets down there. They dont use any magic as apposed to spells/skills. Are the class items balanced ? If you mean items specific to each class. Then I'm not too sure I am afraid. I could pick up any weapon, so I could be up close with a hammer or way back with a longbow even though I was neither warrior nor ranger. So I doubt it. and can caster attack with weapons ? Yup. Elementalists are especially fun. Major magic damage, then physical damage too, fun stuff. Helpful for PvP. Hope that helped somehow. Last edited by Kodou; Apr 29, 2005 at 12:29 AM // 00:29.. I had a question along the same lines. It seems to me that the only advantage of your primary class is that you get to wear the armor of that class. So wouldn't it always be best to choose the best armor wearing class for you primary? So Warrior/Elem would always be better than Elem/Warrior, etc.

Yeah I see your point, but there is that thing of not having the primary skill on a secondary job.
