How is the end-game content?
I played Guild Wars a little bit during the BWE and I'm thinking about quitting WoW for Guild Wars. It seems to have a lot of good ideas and I'm tired of wasting my time grinding for exp in WoW. What I'm wondering is what the end-game content for this game is. The Guild Wars site seems to advertise about how it's revolutionary and such but it doesn't even give people information on what the end-game content has. During the BWE I remember that there are 4vs4's in the Arena. Is there anything else besides this because I can see how this game can get boring quite easily. Also, what I liked about WoW is the massive battles. Will Guild Wars implement some sort of arena where many more people can just duke it out?

Well for starters, from what I have heard, of the 25 missions in the game 11 are for people that are at the level cap. That gives you somewhat of an idea of what the endgame is like. Also, if your into the really challenging stuff (comparable to Molten Core I think), there are also rediculously hard explorable areas (many of which can be accessed through your "World" (eg: Korea Europe or America) winning the Worlds at War event).
On another note, the PVP in this game is supposed to be stellar. No more "zerging" the opposing team with double the numbers (or levels for that matter). The game is not focused on large scale battles because the developers believe that it eliminates all the skill and strategy involved. The 4v4 arenas is not where the pvp truly lies from what I have heard. The Tomb of Kings is where the fun is at. There are also many different "modes" of pvp fighting (back page of the manual) so your not limited to simply DM style fighting. There is no 1v1 or FFA arena I believe. The PVP in this game is team based. I hope this help - Kcha |

There are a lot of missions intended for level 20 characters- pretty much everything past the Crystal Desert. That means, about 8 storyline missions, along with the EA's and quests that go along with them. There's also the Worlds at War content that was revealed during the April BWE, which was difficult enough to wipe out most pickup groups of level 20 characters within the first 30 seconds.... though more organized groups were generally able to make it a significant way through the areas- I'm sure that these will still be providing a challenge after several thousand hours of playing the game.
The PvP content is pretty much all based around level 20 characters- it's a large part of the endgame, and fighting versus other players tends to have more longevity, as players will adapt and come up with new strategies, so no two games are identical. The PvP portion of GW is very addicting- I've spent hours in tombs runs that seem like only minutes had passed. My adrenaline often gets pumping so hard that I occasionally have to step away from the computer for a few minutes to get my hands to stop shaking.... And that's when I'm just playing a healer. They've also said that they plan on periodically adding new content to the game between expansions to help provide some fresh stuff to do while you're waiting for the next chapter. And if that's not enough, there's no monthly fee, so if you get tired of GW, you can play another game, and come back when you feel like it, or when they release the next expansion.
