Where do you get the stuff to make a cape?

You do not Make a cape. you buy one. talk to the Guild Reg guy in Pre-sear or the Guils Emblem gut in Post give him 2000g and <POOF> you have your very own Guild cape. BTW only Guild leaders can buy capes. And only one.

well in pre gold is harder to come by in Pre than in post but... I kept killing the bandits taking their worn belts to the belt collector by the water tpwer in asford (the town by the abbey) getting Belt Pouches and selling them in town. The merchant only give you 5 g for them you can do better by selling them to players. Also there should be a quest given by the prince that gives you 100g. Finaly any Lt.Blue items you find ID them If they say Precious you can sell them for 20g each.... Lather rinse repeat...

And you will have you cape in no time also have you guild members help to. Good Luck
