Skills post-20
I have searched the forums and don't see a specific answer on this:
1. How specifically do you gain skill points post-20? If (and I'm just throwing this number out there, no idea what it really is) it requires 50k xp to reach level 20 from level 19, then every 50k xp you gain after that will gain you another skill point? If so, do the requirements increase as you gain more points? Is there a cap on skill points gained this way? Or theoretically an infinite number of skill points can be gained through xp, quests, missions (and other non-pvp related events). 2. The "Rank" stat seems to imply that you can also gain skill points through pvp. Can you gain a potentially infinite number of skill points this way? Or are there only a finite number of ranks and once you reach the top rank you can no longer gain skill points through pvp? Thanks! |

well I'm only level 8 and I just gained a skill point by completing a quest in the pre-searing world so I would assume that's how most skill/attribute points will be gained post 20

There are only so many quests...People have stated that you can gain skill points past 20 through xp points...I'm not sure if you have to gain the same amount each time, or if it increases as you gain more.
Any level 20's want to chime in? Thanks |

Skill points are a finite resource(after level 20 you can try to level for more, or do missions/quests) so thats why we tell people it's better to just quest for most skills in the game. Surely, some people wont want every skill in the game. However most competitive PvP players will need a lot of stuff. So do the quests for skill rewards since they dont waste a skill point.
I'm not entirely sure but I think you get a skill point from gaining rank in PvP. There are multiple ways to get sp, but none of them are fast enough at the moment for any guild trying to make a base of aolid PvP skills to work around. |

so does this mean that getting all 150 skills is actually impossible?
basically buying skills from trainers should be the last resort? |

It's very possible. It's just that using the finite resource(skill points) should be a "last resort" at this point, especially with no known exploit for skill points and no one having a complete idea of where every skill is available.
The "free" way is through the quests which makes it easy to get all the skills possible in conjuction with the Skill Point method(of buying or using the signet of Capture). |

so i guess the way to acquire skills would be
1. quests 2. signet of capture (if not attainable from quests) 3. buying skills from trainer (if not attainable from 1/2) would these three options pretty much cover everything or am i missing something? |

yea those pretty much cover everything that I know of at this point
Signet of Capture is also the only way at the moment to obtain elite skills |
