Fur?? What the heck salvages that??
Well, it's that time again when I need to get my next warrior armor. Of course after the Ringmail is a new pretty set, but I need fur patches with it.
Problem is, the Material Merchant has none, and apparently it's a well kept tight secret in game because NO ONE is willing to spill the beans on what items you salvage for it. I have seen warriors with the fur laced armor. I ask them .. they say you salvage it, but REFUSE to tell what items are used. WTF people! Everyone is new and keeping it secret doesn't make you any more cooler. So all I am asking is what mobs drop the salvageable item. Charr? An animal creature? |

Thanks for the list Pandora.
Yes fur isn't on there. I think what is ticking me off more is the Warriors who refuse to help a fellow Warrior. They say they salvaged it but the jerks won't tell me from what. There are more warriors than me looking. |

They are salvaged from pelts, certainly that isnt hard to figure out?
The trick is, the chance to get a fur square is very small, I've problably salvaged 50 pelts and only got 1 fur so far. It is possible you need a purple colored pelt and use an expert salvage kit to get one. As a warrior I stuck with the wyvern set armour until I could craft chainmail, wich I chose mainly for looks. |

Im only level 10, but the ascalon set is better than the ringmail due to the absorbing damage. I guess the higher level sets are better. I tried the ringmail when I got the ascalon, but the ascalon was better.

Secondly, I don't really know where else to get armor. Being level 8 my area is still pretty small. Seeing as the only high armor is Ascalon which uses fur ... limits what I can have. |

Honestly, if you are still in ascalon don't even bother with the "best" armour for that level, especially since obtaining furs are hard. You'd be better off saving those for much later.
Chainmail is 65 AL and the 150g ascalon armour is what, around 30? Why would you even waste fur on those. |

The better armor requireing fur in ascalon is 50 AL. And what pelts? From what mob? Bear pelts?
I've been salvaging charr hides non stop, no fur yet. |
