Possible Gwen Bug - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, this is Aidan Gawain's brother. I just started playing and I noticed something odd about Gwen. I've rescued her, but her broken flute didn't appear (I looked all over the area where it appears multiple times). In fact, she is already holding something that looks like a flute (and wearing a cape). Here are some details in case they matter.

- I'm a male monk on the American server.
- When I first started, I did Tydus(sp?)'s first message and collected all of the quests in town, then went outside and got the quest to save Gwen.
- I immediately saved her, then looked unsuccessfully for her flute a couple of times, though she never mentioned the flute to me when I talked to her (she just said whether or not she was going to follow me and made some random comments about her life). Sometimes when I looked, I took her with me, sometimes I didn't.
- About this time, I bought a flute from the merchant in Ascalon in preperation for her asking for it.
- I also got a few more quests, completed the Rouge Bull quest (but declined to be come a Mesmer), killed a bunch of Aloe Seeds and Skales using Banish and Conjure Phantasm, traded 5 Skale Fins for a Belt Pouch, sold a bunch of items, bought an Identification Kit, identified a few items, then sold some of them.

hmm...I thought the only quest for Gwen was to get her flute. Know nothing about saving her. The flute is supposed to be around the same place that all the river skale tads are, near the city.

Monks have to save her and get the flute, I think but I may be wrong

Yeah, when I gave the Town Crier Tydus's message, he told me to see the monk outside. When I spoke with the monk, he gave me a quest to save Gwen from the Skale (a very easy introductory quest, BTW). As a reward, I was given Healing Wind and Banish.

Are there any monks on here who know if it's normal for her to not talk to you like this? I also can't find any flowers for her.
