how can you have a item identified and how do you use bottled items or scrolls please?

To id an item, buy and id kit from a merchant. Usually about 100g.

Bottled items? Not sure what you are talking about. If it is dye, click on the dye then click on the armor or weapon you want to use it on and it will color it that dye color for you.

Scrolls are items that you can hold. Usually a mesmer, necro, or elementalist holds them and when being held it gives them a boost of energy dependent on the scroll. IE Flame Artifact of +3 energy gives the holder a energy bonus of +3.

You identify an item by buying an identification kit from a merchant. Double click the identification kit then click on what you want identified. Usually if the item is white it`s not worth the cost to identify. The bottled items your refering to, I`m assuming, is dye, dye remover, etc...double click them then click on, say if it`s dye, what you would want dyed like armor, weapon. You have to click on the little picture of your stuff to the right of your avatar in your menu. Scrolls you put in your off hand.
