What does it mean when a weapons writing is coloured purple?

it has some special features on it or it need less requirements than normal ones

Light Blue = rare
Purple = rarer
Yellow = rarest

I believe that's how it goes. They all have special attributes, usually getting better the more rare the weapon is. When you ID the rarer weapons you'll have a decent chance of unlocking a rune/haft/upgrade,etc..for PvP chars. If you use an expert salvage kit after that, you'll have a chance of salvaging it into the rune/upgrade that you just unlocked.
