Game land size / Lvl cap question
So far i've been looking around the net, found screenies and that, posts too, but I wondered, how big is this game? Mostly I hear about the starter area, the next less starter area, a road to lions arch and then thats the end, lions arch. I know this is a whole new game, and i'm not complaining (haven't played yet ^^; ). I've played wow before, and ffxi, and they were pretty big land games. Is it like that with GW? Or just a lil amount of space to play?
Also with the lvl cap at 20, is it like when you get to the highest lvls in other games? Is it like when you get 20, thats just the lvl, and one warrior to the next are different? Cause on a lot of games when you reach the highest lvl a lot of the others in the same class are kinda the same, same looking, same stats / gear ect. What i've been thinking is maybe like morrowind, as it has no lvls, the gear made you like a lvl 1, compared to when you got the daedric stuff or even the green glass gear. So when you got to lvl 20 on this, it's more dependant on the gear/weapon/skills you have rather then the lvl. |

Here's a related thread about map size...
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=6675 Level 20 is where the game begins, and one could perceive levels 1-19 as a tutorial stage that prepares the player for the more advanced gaming experience. There is unique equipment as one advances, but very few if any uber-poweful items - and everything is available to a level 20 character. Plus the limitation of only carrying 8 skills into a mission/battle out of a possible 150 per character (75pri/75sec), creates a lot of variation between character types. The limitations both of the level and skills creates a more focused, team based game experience. It's less about the power of your character, or the items that are equipped, and more about the skills one chooses within a team and how those are applied ingame. It's quite unique. |
