Quest help
Hi guys, my first post.
Anyway... I'm still in Post-searing and doing a mission where I have to find some great Aloe(sp) seed or somthing. I follow the green marker all the way untill it turns into the green star thingy. I then get attacked by about 6-7 level 3 Aloe thingys and die quickly. Do I need to be in a large group for this or am I doing something wrong ? I'm a level 7 Ranger/Monk. Sorry for being vague with the names but I'm at work and can't remember them. Cheers Aaines Oragarmraa Ranger/ Monk |

I think you mean that you are still in PRE-searing. I don't remember doing that quest, but I would simply suggest that if it is too hard, try to get some help. Or if you can just sneak up to one and fight them in a smaller group it would help, instead of running into the middle of them. If you are trying to attack at point blank range(sword, or other melee) you might try a ranged weapon. try to atack just the closest one to you without getting close enough to the others that they stay fighting u too.

This is one of the hardest quests in pre-searing, I died quite a few times there.
The easiest way is if you aproach the area with the seeds from the mountain and not straight from Aidan. It's along walk though, I suggest you start from Foible's Fair. |

This is indeed pretty difficult.
I ended up using everything I had to kill one seed quickly. Ran up, grabbed the root and ran like hell back to Aiden. They'll pursue you for a little ways, but you should be able to escape. If you don't escape, however, and died while grabbing the root; it'll still be in your inventory. Easy walk (but lengthy) walk back to Aiden for your reward. |

Or, if you want to be real mean, do the quest when you are level 6 and a ranger/elementalist
I went in, and thought wow, that's alot of foes. Oh well, Rain fire down on them, pet grabbed one of them for a chew toy( I told him: "You have got to stop using Skales for chew toys, they aren't very squeaky" ) and was able to slaughter em all. Then again, I tend to not leave pre-searing until I hit level 8, mostly so I can build up a good gold base and good selection of crafting components and dyes ( which seem to drop a lot more than the first time I played on Friday) |

I was able to buddy up with a ele at the fair, we went down and killed a few, got alot of root and finished the quest. We didnt kill them all, but got alot of them. And of course since I am a nice person, there were some lvl 6/7 rangers that didnt have those skills yet, so I gave them the left over root I had and told or shown them where Aiden was....darn pesky spiders...lol
