Sword Level?? & Hammer ?? - Guild Wars Forums

I am currently lvl9 (almost 10) W/Mo, and I've done quite a lot of Ascalon quests and some Piken ones also. I am using a
7-10 dmg Barbed Rinblade of Charrslaying
lengthens bleeding duration
+25% dmg against charr and
+20% dmg customized
Should I have a more powerful sword at this point? I haven't gotten one decent sword drop, but I did pick up a nice hammer. I also haven't found any crafters that offer anything better.... I'd hate to switch to a hammer as i am loving Sever&Gash combo, but I would like to get max damage of course

What am I missing

Hi,

I used that same sword until i was LvL 13. I just bought a better sword from a Merchant in Yak's bend. You may see some fellow players selling better Stat Swords but you need to make sure you have the right attributes to be able to weld them.

Keep in mind that the highest sword stats (that I know of) are 15-22, so at 7-10 +25% vs Charr you are close to half that, and over for Charr. At half of max level, it sounds about right. I think I was still using a 6-9 sword until level 9 in the last BWE, it all depends on what you can find, or what you feel like crafting (or what you feel like buying from people).

Are there 2-handed swords in this game? I just realised that while I've seen abundant 2-handed hammers and axes, I have yet to see a 2-handed sword...
