Crafted Armor NPC - Guild Wars Forums

Just wondering if someone could clarify or rather make sure I have it right. You need to bring the merchants the required items they need to craft and pay the pnc for for the services?

Where do you get the items needed to craft the armor? ie. Steel/Iron Ignot
Is it bought from other npc's, pc's, droped from mobs? Thanx for the info!

First, figure out what armor you want and find out what materials and gold amount you need. Then go about collecting the materials & gold, bring them to the crafter, and have him craft it for you.

Steel can be had at least 3 ways that I know of: Expert Salvage things, have a crafter make it (the crafter that does it is just outside Fort Ranik), or buy it off someone else.

Yes, you have to bring the crafters the needed items to make armor and some of your other gear. Crafting materials are found by using a Salvage (Or expert salvage for rarer materials) kit that you but at any merchant. Expert kits are availible later in the game. You use the kit on most any loot your get from mobs and the different items will give you different things, just have to try it all out and see what pieces make your materials.
