Is Ascolon settlement the one in the beginning of the game?

Oh, did you want more information? I assume you're talking about the Ascalon Settlement you are to deliver the strongbox to? Thats a short distance north of Lions Arch.

Ascalon Settlement is a place in North Kryta Province not far from Lions Arch. If you're a decent level and bring henchmen, it's not hard to get there. You can buy a couple skills from Captain Greywind while you're there - or you can go a ways past it and unlock the Signet of Capture.

That's Ascalon (the city).

Ascalon Settlement is the small town/settlement located in the northeat (I believe) of North Kryta Province outside of Lion's Arch.
