I wondered the same thing, and the answer is no: The only way to increase your maximum amount of avilable energy is through items at this time.
I am unsure if there are skills that allow for such, but you never know.... Inac |

actually, elementalist mains get to increase their energy by spending skill points in "energy storage".
Not that it will help your current character, but if you're thinking about further characters, then it may help. I have a W/E and I like to use eruption. it's a 25 energy spell, so what I do is set one of my weapon sets to have a +6 energy idol instead of the shield. That way, when I want to cast the big nuke, I do an f# key weapon switch, cast, then switch back. |

Yeah, that is something I don't like....they should implement a delay of a considerable amount of time in the energy available when you equip an item / weapon that gives more energy so people can't FAST SWITCH to said item and then back to the ones they use right away.

Energy is overrated, once you get down to 0 you will regen the same anyways. It's only nice when just starting in a fight. There is problably bows with energy, heck I've seen swords with +5 EN.

Well, if you think about it, fast switching is cheasy to begin with. Who switches weapons during combat? Yet, NCsoft put it in there, it survived the beta, and it made it to live, so that's that.
I'd much rather quest for some W/E armor that increases energy as well as AL, but there isn't such a thing in game yet. I have high hopes of something like that becoming available at some point in the near future. Alas, not yet. You work with the tools you're given, that's all. Besides, as Rhaz said, there is no way you can use this in meele combat because of cast times and recharge rates. You start combat with the big one, then switch as you close in. It's not like you'd be whipping the thing in-and-out all the fight long |

The Gladiator Armor has a few pieces that increase energy. Unfortunately its only by a total of 4. Not necesarily worth the extra expense, but there ya have it.. Might be another set somewhere past Lions Arch, but I haven't got there yet.

Just to clarify.. sorry I'm tired and not at my best.. I believe I totaled up the leggings and bracers and boots for that +2 on the leggings and +1 on the others. The top has like a +3, but doesn't have the +20 vs physical attack that the regular set does and I didn't pay a lot of attention to the helmet because I use one that has captain's helmet that has a bonus for swordsmansip..
