Official GW forum?
Is this the official Guild Wars forum or just the top ranked fan site.
ALL in all nice site.I just wanted to post that the sound they added to cutscenes made the missions and game more emursive story line for me. (FAN<ME>TASTIC). |

I'm unsure.
I KNOW it isn't a 'offical' website in the way that Arena Net Might of made it, because they didn't. www.guildwars.com rate this as an offical website on the homepage, though. This information may be incorrect. Regards, Ashleigh. |

We are designated as an official fansite, but there are also others with that very designation.

There is no "Official" Guild Wars forum, as ArenaNet has decided the fansites are more than good enough. This might be true, but it would be nice if there were some consolidated forum hosted by ArenaNet.

I agree. Having multiple sites is great. But multiple forums is annoying. Have to register multiple times, search if one doesn't have what you are looking for on multiple boards, etc.

That's enough of an excuse to not even have to, nor want to go to any other GW forums. |

Guild Wars Guru is the best I have found.

I like forums, but im very particular about which one I stay loyal to, after all time is very precious especially with a game like GW, My particular 'thing' which contributes alot to my opinion are the Admins. I know they have a job to do and I know it can be frustrating but I cant stand those who talk down to members as if they are children. After all, why become a forum admin if its not somthing you enjoy doing. This may not be the offical site but it DOES deserve to be, admins are very professional and informative, they actually appear to care what we say and suffer our human imperfections very well There are many posts which dont follow the 'guidlines' but admins arnt strict and understand that not everyone reads everything and are desperate for a quick answer, which generally gives new members a more welcoming feel. I maybe wrong but this forum seems to get more 'official' input than others appear to. My advice is to stay with this site for your posts, but register with other good ones as a way of finding information before making your post (thats if your not desperate for the answer quick) The Snowman. |

WARNING: The post you are about to read is complete hearsay and may not resemble reality in any way possible.
I can't find where I read it anymore (I suck, I know) but I did read that Guild Wars did and/or will have in-game support for both AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and an official messageboard. If I can find it again then I'll be sure to spam the URL right here. |
