Ink vs. Dye
Here's a stupid question, but...I've read unofficial sites and forums, and have seen references to vials of dye for color change and vials of ink for monk crafting. Is there a difference between the two or are they basically the same thing?

Dye is to change the color of your armor/weapon. Ink is to craft monk tattoos. |

That's because Ink needs to be crafted, it doesn't just drop.
Ink is also used to make Necromancer Scar Pattern Armour. |

Yeah, there's a 'materials crafter' or 'materials trader' (can't remember which) just outside of the Abbey, in Old Ascalon (Post-searing, obviously) who crafts rare crafting materials for you. I'm pretty sure he can craft ink, and I know he can craft parchment paper (from wood planks) so he'd be the guy to visit in order to get tattoo/scar pattern crafting items.
