Skill trainers (yes I searched for it already)
Alright I'm mighty confused by this and tried to figure it out on my own but I can't go any longer without some new skills.
OK I look up where the trainer for the skill I want should be. I finally get to that town and look at the skill list, expecting to see a bunch of really awesome skills... and I see 4 all of which suck. What do I have to do to make the skills appear at the trainers? Do I have to obtain the quest for it and not complete it (because if I completed it obviously I would have the skill) or do I have to be a certain level to obtain certain skills or do a certain mission. I got to Fisherman's Haven and was so happy because the key skills for my build are listed as being available from the trainer there but 4 crappy skills is all I see. Please clear this up for me. Thanks a bunch. >PD |

The skill training system has been changed so the majority of skills are picked up as rewards for quests. The next major outpost/city normally has all the skills that you missed between it and the last one.
Oh, and all Elite skills must now be captured off Bosses... |

Ok, so all of those on-line skill trainer lists are all out of date?

Sigh... I've got a lot of quests to catch up on. That really makes me wonder because whenever I mention doing quests in-game people look at me like I'm insane. How the hell are they getting their skills I wonder? Hehe.

That's why you see level 7 people doing the Borlis Pass mission, and they don't seem to have a clue what they are doing. They have no skills (in game, or out of game apparently) and they never no where to go or what to do. These are the people attempting to get to the 60% DP limit by the end of a mission. They find a group of mediocre players who are willing to drag their sorry butts through a mission they aren't prepared for, and that's how they advance. I understand this, though. Many times I have been in a party with that one under-leveled E/W who rushes every enemy and dies instantly. A lot of times we just carry him because the other five would rather just deal with it than go back for a new party. Not everyone is like that, but it often times seems like it. |
