Cesta's, Icons... Whats the use?
For a week I'm hoping on some decent weapon/shield drops, but all I find are lots of cesta's and icons. Also lots of wands. Mabye nice for a magic user, but after so such a long time of beta playing I would expect the game is in balance... Its almost like warriors are forced to join teams with at least 2 magic users to support them. I hope thats not true. A warrior should be able to slay those low level 3-monster teams on his own, without party, either human or hench!

Well, depends on how you fight, how you use your energy and stuff, so its entirely up to you how long you stay alive and kill.

I'm a level 9 monk/warrior. I can heal myself and deal a decent amount of smiting dmg. But thats not enough for those small level 3 groups with a healer. I'm using a sword and with frenzy and sever artery it should be possible to bring them down. It does when I go for the healing creature first. But it takes too long with the items I have now. When I'm heading for the next group the monsters I just slew already respawn. And than it goes wrong. With henchmen its np, and with a team of human players its np. But I only want to play in teams to slay some end-level monster. Its too much hurry hurry hurry in human teams. Anyway, its a fact that most gear dropped is mage stuff.

For the shield/weapon drops you got to kill charrs. Head to the Breach and you'll get all kinds of nifty wepon drops, as well as loads of salvageable stuff that you can take to a crafter for your next set of armor.
As far as all the other stuff, well you can sell it or salvage it. It doesn't have to say "salvage item" or "highly salvageable" for you to get something from them. Crappy swords=ore, staffs=wood/glitering dust, Bows=wood, etc... You may not care about iron ingots because of your class, but warriors will pay very well for them. Same thing for tanned hides, and the like. If you don't want to put a price on them, just trade them for what you need. About your problem with respawning mobs, do not zone. When you zone, you reset the entire map. Monsters do not respawn in my experience. They do wander arround though. On handling tough groups, get in a party. There is no party out there that will not take a monk. Just look for a quest you want to do, and then say:"M/E9 looking to do XXX quest." Sit back and wait for the invites to come If you can't find anyone, my friends and I will be happy to have you. Just drop me wisper in game. |

Thanks for your reply
Its my experience that monsters respawn in 1-5 minutes, depending on where you are. Getting into a party is easy enough. It just that I dont want to rush from quest to quest all the time. I like adventuring, taking time to look around, considering my next move |
