Question regarding Ranger and subclass
Hi there,
Right now i'm currently a level 15 R/W using bow skills. Few questions, first: finding that bow is really starting to drop off in damage compared to melee - ie, I attack really slow. When I do hit, I hit for an average of 20-50 normal hits, and 30 - 80 on hits using a skill. I'm finding that I don't use very many warrior skills at all (about the only one is healing signet) and wondering if I should just create a new character and perhaps go ranger/mesmer instead. 1. I hear that bow is excellent for stopping casters in pvp; however, my bow damage just can't keep up with healing. Considering I am warrior subclassed, would it be more recommended to go with sword? 2. If I go sword, I am under the impression that Dragon Sword is only good if you use certain elemental attacks which raise damage on players. Also, sword doesn't seem to do good damage per hit and harder keeping up with players in pvp. 3. what I want in a character is a support character somewhat like an assassin/debilitator (makes it hard for others to do their job) and I also want to be able to hold my own. Would I be better off just creating a new character, going sword, or just sticking with my bow. And if I stick with warrior/bow..what skills would be recommended to use of the warrior skillset? Thanks |
