Newbie question about PvP - Guild Wars Forums

Hi everyone! I just recently started playing PvP characters and I have to say that I'm disappointed. Every time my team is on the verge of winning, the last enemy alive runs around the arena in circles, and nobody can do anything. My team usually gives up and people disconnect. This has happened to me 3 TIMES IN A ROW! Different players!

Is this common and how can you stop someone from running around like that? I think it's cowardly.

I don't think you can stop someone from running around trying to stay alive.

Are you in a guild? If so, try and get together with guildmates. If not, try and figure out a way in team chat to 'box' him in. If you have warriors, have them use sprint, that'll usually catch up to the runner.

Grab a skill that slows, or cripples.

Instead of just chasing the guy around in a circle, have all the members of your team stand around in different places in the arena... and they can attack him when he comes near.
Even if the guy is running around like a maniac, your team members will be all over the place instead of ALL of them BEHIND him trying to catch him. If you try to approach him from different sides, it's difficult for him to escape.

hehe some of their arrows are bound to hit him!
