umm... i just got the game recently. got a question. wats the difference between the 2? (role playing & pvp)

PVP is Player-Versus-Player combat. You fight other people. Role-playing is completely different. You act like your character would, talk like he/she would, etc. For instance, if your character is a battle-hardened warrior with strong superstitious feelings, he or she might not get along well with magic-users. Or if your character is an Elementalist that was raised in a rich family, he or she might abhor a necromancer's somewhat questionable uses of magic.

I think he means the difference between making an RP or PVP character at the beginning.
Make a RP character... PVP characters start at level 20 but can only go to a few arenas and aren't even very good unless you unlock stuff. Basically, I just use PVP characters to try out stuff in the end game... You don't play a PVP character for a long period of time :P |

Definately go to all the trainers to try different skills before committing to a second profession in RP. even if not to try all skills then for the XP.
