Leather Squares - Guild Wars Forums

After reaching Yak's Bend and finding out that the Fanatic Necromancer armor has no statistical benefit over Bonelace, I first decided not to buy the stuff, but now as I'm nearing 4k gold, I'm considering buying it just for looks, but I need Leather Squares. I have tons of Tanned Hide Squares, so that's not a problem, but I have no idea where to purchase/craft Leather Squares.

Or, can anyone tell me if at a new area (up to The Frost Gate mission right now) there will be better armor for me to buy and I should save my gold/materials?

If you want leather squares, go to Saredlac Sanitarium. Outside and up the hill is a materials crafter who will make you leather squares. Easiest to reach crafter in the game, IMO.

I wouldn't waste the materials and gold on the Fanatic's set.

I got it, and the skirt...err...leggings look very disapointing - as if somebody took some red/black/white colored cardboard with a 70's pattern and folded it to a skirt-shape. Means: It looks edgy and very stiff.

The Tunic is nice though, and if you got that you shouldn't miss the "gloves", because they also deliver some long sleeves for it.

Anyway, my next higher armor will definitely not be Fanatic's again, I'll much rather get Bonelace again.
