some simple questions, need answers :)
Various questions, and please don't flame me if they might have been answered elsewhere - I have done multiple search's, but never found a satisfactory answer :P (or I'm just a blind idiot.. in which case feel free to flame me! hehehe :P)
1. How to ignore "join party" requests? I was busy in pre-searing monestry (selling loot and going over my skill bar.. heh) when I got a party invite request... declined (big mistake! shoulda just ignored it..) and lo and behold... a few seconds later the same person does it again.. and again I decline.. and it happens a 3rd time.. I declined and said in chat "not interested in party, please desist inviting me"... and guess what.. he invited me again... So I opened up friends list, put him on ignore... and declined his invitation... just to be thoroughly annoyed by him inviting me yet again.. at this point I just ignored it, finished my business and moved on and went on tpo my next quest... But this made me wonder, is there anyway to ignore party invites? Or turn off even see'ing them for awhile? I ask because in another online game I played, people spamming party invites was a fairly bad problem - but the developer's of that game had put in a feature where you could auto-decline every party invite you got - meant when you did want to party you had to turn that feature off, join your party and then re-enable the party.. but that was a whole lot better than getting your screen filled up with "XXX has invited you to a party.. Join/Decline"... and after this dweeb just keep hitting me with party invites... makes me wonder if there's a similar feature in GW I haven't found... and if there isn't.. and multiple join invites take up your screen... I'm gonna start to dread going into central player hubs... 2. I know that you can have a backpack and a beltpounch - what are the other 2 slots for? I've realized they aint for beltpouch's as I got a 2nd one and it wouldn't go there.. hehehehe 3. Is there anyplace to see any stats on pets? I have a char which is part ranger, and trying to detirmine what pet to go for.. heh, might just stick with the Stalker. Since I've not found any actual info anywhere.. all I see is opinion's.. so don't really think anyone can answer this (heh and I've searched and read the pet threads here.. and all I got was opinion's "roa bird sux!", "Roa bird is the best", etc and so on.. heh) 4. This may sound stupid.. but I've never gotten a Necro far enuff to actually get the skills... but the spells in the "Blood" line which state that "sacrifice x% of max health.."... Does this mean your max health for that mission is dropped? Or you just loose x% of your max health from your current health and then regen back up to your normal max health (whatever it is at the time)? 5. is there anyway in-game to see what quests you have already finished? Or is it that once they go bye-bye from your quest log you'll never see them again? ok.. thats all I can think of for now. please be gentle.. heheheh :P Last edited by Kamatsu; May 07, 2005 at 09:36 AM // 09:36.. |

collector's armor/equip pre-searing?
another question, concerning pre-searing collectors.
In the guide here on this site it seems to indicate that the following items can't be "upgraded" via collector's in pre-searing Ascalon... - Warrior Leggings - Elementalist "chest" armor Now I know for a fact you can get Warrior Leggings from a collector - I have a "temp" warrior character with them (i'll met anyone somewhere if they don't believe me!). I don't remember the collector I got them from tho ;/ If anyone wants to know I'll run around again and find them :P but this leads me to ask - what about the elementalist "chest" armor? Is it availavle and just not listed on the guide here? Or is it just not to be found... I've looked at most collectors and not seen it... altho I did just finally find out where the fishing village in Wizards Folly is.. LOL so I might just go and check there with my elementalist.. altho I believe that's the ponly collector I haven't seen yet... and thats listed on the guide as being the elementalist gloves... so does anyone know if you can fully upgrade the whole set for elementalist's or not? (and b4 you say "don't waste your time".. it's not a waste for me since I find trying to find all these things to be fun :P) |

Don't waste your time.
Seriously though, Nice questions. Unfortunately I can't help you there with any of them. Aside from 2. You can have I think about 2-3 backpacks and only one belt pouch, that's what the other slots are for, backpacks. |

On #1, I don't know of a way. Not to say there isn't one, but I sure don't know. #2 The extra slots are for bags that you can buy at merchants. Usually these cost about 100GP. At some merchants you can buy a rune that will double to bag size from 5 to 10 slots. #3 Don't know the answer to this. Most Rangers I have played with have a bird. #4 Use the Blood spells that sacrafice your health for a spell effect lasts for the duration of the spell effect, not for the time it takes to do the mission. #5 - Once the quest has been completed, it disappears from being viewable from what I can tell. |

Sekkira - LOL pfft! shoo shoo!
Robos - thanx for the answers - Blood Spells -> so the reduction IS to your max health then? But only for the duration of the spell, at which time your max is returned to normal? Another question about pets.. 6. If you charm the Strider in pre-searing Ascalon, does it turn into the Roa bird in post-searing? Or stay as the strider bird? Asking because someone mentioned that the strider bird turned into the Roa bird... but I don't know as no-one else ever said anything like it.. so does anyone know if it does or not? oohh.. and it looks like there is no elementalist armor you can gte from the collectors. what a shame for players like me... I finally found Fort Ronik and niether of the collector's there were any help... and I found a collector out by some bear hunters.. and again no luck (they wanted seeds, but had nothing to swap for them... ) 7. damn this game! hahhaa.. not a question.. but damn it anyways! LOL Why do I die AFTER killing all those damn skale broodcallers.. all cuz 1 of them got a last shot off b4 it died! pfft.. killed like 10 of them at once.. goooo firestorm! hahahahaha... and just as the last one dropped.. me with 1 hp.. it spat at me.. *dies* oh wells, glad their's do DP in pre-searing :P 8. is there anyway to adjust the "gamma" in the game? Well, for the catacomb's only.. rest of the game is fine.. but I struggle to see anything in there.. blah.. stupid old monitor (my weakest link in my system.. old monitor whose gamma is messed up... ) Catacomb's are just too dark... I need to squint and move camera around to try and see where the paths are (in the "dark" area's ).. as well as looking at the mini-map for idea's where the paths are... |

and yet another question :P hehehe
9. Once you have logged into the game as a character, is there anyway to go back to the character selection screen? I ask because it's a tad annoying when/if I want to switch chars .. because right now that involves logging out and then re-entering my password just to re-login so as to select the other character. Just annoying to have to go through all that when I'm already logged in... to have to log out and then log back in again... makes me think there has to be an easier/quicker way to do this... like being able to leave current chaarcter and go straight back to character selection.. but I'm yet to find a way to do that. |

No...basically with blood magic you are doing damage to yourself. So if you had 100 health and sacrificed 20% of this using blood magic you would be damaging yourself for 20 health.
6. Don't charm a moa bird. Charm a black bear. 9. No there isn't. |

9. That's a really bummer. They should make it so you can exit the game back to character selection screen if you ask me.. rather than forcing us all to log-out and then re-enter our password to log-in again to switch character's.. |
