for example if you bought ele armor for a male can u have it custimized for a woman?

that means its pointless to buy armor from someone else if it customized because you can never have it re customized? it would be kewl if you could. i saw some guy selling his armor for real cheap and didnt buy it because it was for a male and i have a female elementelist.

If you buy armor from another player, you're getting ripped off. You can't wear armor that you didn't craft.

Yep. This stupid little noob

bought a nice chest scar "armor" for my necro for 700g only to find out I couldn't use it.
Thankfully the guy who sold it to me wasn't aware of that either so I got my money + a little extra back immediately. I imagine there must be a good number of scammers out there who have made a good deal of gold on something like this.

It was sheer stupidity on my side in this case, since if I had taken an extra second to think back to what I had read I actually knew I couldn't use items customized for another person.

And if you customize a weapon?
Lets say I have War Hammer, and customezed to myself, giving me extra damagge of 20%+? Does this mean if I would seel it, person who buys it can't use it anymore, or can just go to weapon master and have it customer for him/her for 10g?

that means the person you sell it to can salvage it but never use it. once something is customised you and ONLY you can ever use it again. No one else. Ever.
