Question about different types of swords.
Sorry for the trouble, I was wondering if the type of sword you use has any advantage over others or disadvantage. The reason I ask is because I recently bought a 15-22 long sword and before that I've been using a 14-19 brute sword. Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the long sword cause more damage? However, I find myself doing more damage with my brute sword than my long sword. Both do Slashing damage if that matters.
Was also wondering how many types of swords are there? I only know of brute, long, butterfly. What is the max damage on swords right now? What are lightning damage swords good against? Last question, is the fiery dragon sword only good against creatures that are weak against that element? Sorry for the trouble. |

What's the swordsmanship requirement on both swords? if you don't have atleast the minimum requirement you won't do the damage you're supposed to. However, if you're fighting mobs that have very high defense, that's another reason why you'd be doing horrible damage.
There's quite a few different swords, Schimitar (SP?), Long, Short, Brute, Dragon, Forked, Butterfly, rinblade, felblade, etc.. I'm not really sure either. D: 15-22 seems to be the max dmg for all swords atm. Lightning Dmg would be good against things that don't like lightning? (Water?) Fire's good against melee if they don't have fire resistance. But it's horrid against fire elementalists (PVP-wise). I think Fire is all around good for PVE, but fire against fire.. does that make much sense if you can actually do damage in a situation like that? |

the brute has a req. of 8 and the long sword of 9. Okay.. sorry.. that was stupid of me to not have realize that I'm only at 8. I kept thinking it was 11. I'm sorry for the simple and stupid mistake.
So it's only good against water? any idea who is strong against it? and if the monster I attack is neither strong or weak against it, would it just do normal dmg? Thanks for helping, sorry for any trouble. |
