Just an add in
Straight from the Guild Wars online Manual
please read First paragraph At some point it was a choice .... On-Line Manual Navigation -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Getting Started - Character Creation - Game Interface - Quick Start Guide - Move Hero - - Move Camera - Form a Party - Using Skills - Using Equipment - Chat - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guild Wars Online Manual - Choose a Profession There are six professions in the Guild Wars world: Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Elementalist, Mesmer, and Necromancer. For each hero you create, you???ll start by choosing a primary profession. Later, if you choose, you can add a secondary profession. Primary Profession (Choose during Creation) Your primary profession determines your hero???s basic appearance, including the type of armor you???ll wear. It is your hero???s outward identity. It also provides several attributes that improve skills over time, including a primary attribute that is not available when the profession is chosen as a secondary. Secondary Profession (Choose after Creation) Your secondary profession provides your hero with a second set of attributes and skills to compliment the first. (Your secondary profession does not have access to the primary attribute for that profession.) Note: Your hero will not be saved until you click Create in the Character Name screen and enter Guild Wars with that character. Customizing Your Appearance |

if they changed it i thank you for bringing it to my attention
i will have to double check on this EDIT you choose your secondary after creating your character and trying the available secondaries out in pre searing before the academy. unless it was changed you still need a second before the academy waiting for an email to confirm Last edited by Loviatar; May 06, 2005 at 11:55 PM // 23:55.. |

So where do you see that last part writen?
Primary Profession (Choose during Creation) Your primary profession determines your hero???s basic appearance, including the type of armor you???ll wear. It is your hero???s outward identity. It also provides several attributes that improve skills over time, including a primary attribute that is not available when the profession is chosen as a secondary. Secondary Profession (Choose after Creation) that is said but still not saying you have to take before academy or at all. Last edited by SA_DEMON; May 07, 2005 at 12:06 AM // 00:06.. |

Loviatar I am trying very hard here for you to understand what I am saying ...At some point before the game came out you had a choice the manaul came out on line 1 day before the game was released in the United States ...again all I am saying "Later, if you choose, you can add a secondary profession." It is not telling you that you have to take it to get into the Academy this is what is miss leading ....

I decided to make a warrior, and took a ranger as secondary just for the pet skill. My theory, at least, is if you don't really want a second profession, take ranger and have a pet

I really dont' see the point of complainign about this.
You dont' loose anything by haveing a secondary skill set. You only gain skills, for free. Not to mention haveing a secondary class adds more quests to do... If you dont' want to use those secondary skills, then dont' train in them, and dont' put any of them on your bar. |
