Elementalist/Necro Advice ~ Please read & give some input please!
Well, right now, I am level 18 almost 19 E/N. I have been doing a Fire/Blood magic/energy storage build. I feel that this will not be successful when it comes to PvP when I hit level 20. I have done a search and didn't find any straight information on a good pvp build for an E/N and what skills people use. I read a few interesting builds consisting of Air/Death magic, but not sure if that would be good in PvP or not.
Are there any Ele/Necros out there who think they have a strong pvp build and would like to advise me on which route might be best for PvP but also may be beneficial on missions/raids for groups? I read a few interesting water/air builds but anyone want to help get me set in a good direction? Please, any input would be great. Thanks guys! |

As I understand it, the primary (A/E/F/W) doesn't matter much, as they all deal damage, and they've all got their tactical quirks (pick one that suits your taste). Fire and Air are the ones I've seen in use most often, but that may be largely due to fire getting it's AOE's very early in the game. Water's slows and earth's knockdowns are underrated semi-defenses, IMHO.
Blood and curses are popular secondaries. I wouldn't do Death Magic without Soul Reaping, personally, but maybe someone can make it work. Which secondary you pick largely depends on what role you want to fill on the team. |

I have an ele/nec that I too was speccing fire/blood/energy. Stacking 3 life siphons and then nuking/life tapping was ungodly while soloing up to about lv 12-14ish, but the return on the regens is diminishing quickly. Looks like by the time I get to 20, it won't matter much. And in PvP it takes time to cast 3 life siphons that could have been better spent doing REAL damage. In the end I'll likely either go with hexes or a second elemental line for PvP. Perhaps some air for massive single target damage to complement the AoE or water/earth to add some defence/utility. I don't predict blood being all that useful in the end, at least not for my toon.

Ok, so basically I want to stick to 3 general areas so I can get sufficient points which will benefit me. I hear when you do more then 3 builds you begin to lose benefits from them. I hear cons of fire in pvp is AoE sucks and fire only good in PvE. What I was going to do, was figure out a way to maximize my pvp capibility while still keeping 3 builds to work on. Whether it be Air/Death Magic/Energy or whatever. Of course with Death Magic I would use soul reaping. The role I want to have is a powerful asset to my guild/team in pvp - while holding my own. Sorry if it doesnt make any sense but it's kinda hard to explain. Just want to be good and not waste more of a PvE build on PvP where I could tweak it and be more beneficial.

Anyone - good recommendations for a E/N PvP build?
