Runes Question
Hey, this is a very newb question and all, but, if something is salvagable and I salvage it and it tells me the item released or whatever, where does that go? Say I salvage something and it releases rune, where is the rune? I am just unfamiliar with salvaging and the benefits of salvaging. Also, is all equipment salvagable, even the armor I buy from the merchant? Sorry for being dumb, just would like some more knowledge on the rune/salvage concept. Thanks guys.

To get items that have been ID'ed in salvage objects, you have to use an expert salvage kit (400gp, earliest you can get it is in Yak's Bend). If you use a regular salvage kit, it will just turn into raw materials and you won't have any chance of getting the item.

After you've salvaged your rune, it takes up the space of the item it was salvaged from. (It looks like a scroll thing)
All equipment is salvageable. |

If you ID an item and a rune is "unlocked", try and salvage the rune out of the item with an expert kit.
If successful, the item you salvaged will appear as a rune icon in your inventory and can then be added to other armor parts. The same procedure applies for weapon upgrade components. The difference here is that weapon upgrades can only be added to a wepon via a wepon crafter. Not all weaponsmiths can craft however. Hope this helps. |
