1v1?
I love the idea of "guild" wars, but sometimes it's just not convenient or I would like to test out my own skill (rather than the collective skill of a group of players). Those of you who have played MTGO, which this game is closely modeled after (at least from a strategic standpoint), are probably like me. 2-headed giant, 3v3, etc. are all fun modes of play, but I wouldn't want to play them ALL the time.
My question is: how team-oriented is the lvl 20 PvP? Is it possible to be a loner and still compete in PvP (1v1, not with a random team)? Last edited by Tyveil; May 10, 2005 at 09:03 PM // 21:03.. |

Aye, use the search to read the 20 pages of discussion on 1v1. But to sum it up, this game is balanced for teams of 4v4 and greater. To allow 1v1 in the game would require a rebalance of all classes and classs combos, skills, etc etc etc. So, it will never happen.
If you want a 1v1 fight. Call out a character in a pickup match, I do it all the time. "Hey, WaMo so and so go left alone and we'll 1v1". Some go some don't. But in the long run be happy it's balanced for group battle. Because WaMo isn't even close to the strongest 1v1 class. As a collective group in lower level PvP they are deadly, but 1v1 vs say a WaEl or MeNe they are toast. |
