Hey all, sorry if this has been asked before but...

I have a Fiery Dragon sword that dropped off a Hydra in the desert and I want to upgrade it. I know that swords standard have two upgrade slots, a pommel and a hilt. I already added the +20 health pommel to it so that's cool. My question is, can I add a hilt to it? I suspect that it already has the "fire sword hilt" that I've seen people selling which comes from salvaging one of these swords. I don't want to add another hilt to it if I'm going to lose any of its current functionality.
