Rare armor? - Guild Wars Forums

I've notice that in this game enemies drop every single kind of items , except for armor. Is this true? If so does that means that there is no such thing as 'rare' armor and we're limited to using the armor available with the craftsmen? Therefore if such is true then the only way we can get 'special' armor is by modifying them with runes.

There are no armor drops, the idea is that when you craft your armor, it is customized. Although I guess they could have it drop and be customized for the person it drops. However this would make crafting material kind of useless, since most people will just loot their armor.

And yes the only way to add modifiers to your armor from the "stock" crafted one is to add runes. Unless you count the "infused" attribute you get from doing the Iron Mines of Moladune mission.
