Some weapons wont salvage - Guild Wars Forums

Some weapons wont salvage.

Why is that?

I have had some perfectly good items i had wished to salvage, swords to say the least.

its identified and has either the prefix or suffix of an upgrade yet says "this item cannot be salvaged"

its not customized to anyone, its not in one of my weapon sets and im trying to use an expert salvage kit on it

Any help appreciated.

Items from collectors can't be salvaged - neither armour nor weapons.

items you get as quest rewards are not salvageable. They can be sold for more gold than a normal item though.
