Ranger Leather Armor Problems - Guild Wars Forums

Hey all, Im new to the site. I have one problem with my character. I aquired the Leather Vest and Leather Leggings. The Leather Vest is supposed to add +5 Energy and the Leggings are supposed to add +1 energy recovery.... But on my character they dont. Im not sure why. I have tried to log out and re-log-on to check...nothing... i have no idea why it will not work. I have questions the main GW site and am waiting on a response...but i figured id ask you guys too..

Are you sure the leather does that? Thought it was the druid's armor....

i swear it says +5 energy and the leggins say +1 energy recovery....You can make a newbe char and check the collectors...they show the stats of the items you would recieve.

Druid's set adds something like +8 on the chest and +2 on legs. (I think the full set puts you at 30 energy.)

Eclipt -

The reason you haven't seen any change is because the armor replaced had the exact same bonuses. Take of all your armor and you should end up at 20 energy with +2 regen. Put on your armor and you would be at 25 with +3 regen.

It's part of the way characters are designed. Everyone's base is the same, but their class armor adds to that to make what you really get to work with.

So the "newbie armor" simply doesnt say the bonuses? and the next lvl armor is just making up for the bonuses and merely adds a lil armor?

The armour given by the collectors is only marginally better than the newbie armour and will be quickly replaced with much better in post-searing. Not really worth the effort to get it.

The newbie armor ought to have the same set of bonuses listed on it as the collector set that you find. I was pretty sure it did, but if it doesn't, then that is a bug.

yeah newbie ranger armour does indeed list those bonuses... you probably just didnt think to look, i know i didnt at first. I assumed newbie armour would mean it gave a base armour rating and no other bonuses lol
